PavBhaji Masala Stuffed Bun

PavBhaji Masala Stuffed Bun is a healthy snack. Filled with pavbhaji flavoured masala, wholewheat bun these are perfect for kids and also for road trips.

Ingredients:

  • Stuffing:
  • 1 cup Boiled veggies ( Potato, Carrot, Peas)
  • 1 spoon Pavbhaji Masala
  • 1 chopped Onion
  • 5-6 Curry leaves
  • 2 spoon Oil
  • 1/2 spoon Cumin seed
  • 1/2 spoon Mustered seed
  • 1 Green chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • Bun:
  • 1 cup Wholewheat flour
  • 1 spoon Active dry yeast
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 spoon Sugar
  • 1/2 spoon Sesame seed
  • 2 tablespoon Extra Virgin OliveOil

Instructions:

  • Stuffing :
  • In a pan over medium heat add oil, cumin seed, mustard seed and curry leaves.
  • Cook for 2 minutes and then add mashed boiled veggies. Add salt to taste and pavbhaji masala, mix well.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes and then add chopped onion and 1/2 cup of water. Cook 4-5 minutes or until water evaporates.
  • Turn off the heat, let it cool.
  • Bun:
  • In a deep bowl add 1/4 cup lukewarm water, sugar and yeast.
  • Cover the bowl for 10 minutes and let the yeast activate.
  • Then add flour, oil and salt to taste, mix well make a dough, add lukewarm water if required to make a soft dough.
  • Cover the dough and rest for 2 hrs.
  • To Assemble :
  • When the dough has proofed and has doubled in size, remove the towel and punch the dough down. Then knead the dough gently. Make a small small balls.
  • Roll the dough and stuff the pavbhaji masala mixture. Seal the bun.
  • Place it on greased baking tray.
  • Brush the ( butter/ oil) bun, sprinkle sesame seed.
  • Bake it in a preheated oven 180 degrees C 30- 35 minutes.
  • Serve Warm.
  • Enjoy with Butter.
