Methi Malai Paneer

Ingredients:

  • Paneer – 1 cup
  • Chopped onion – 1 cup(4-5)
  • Coriander leaves – For garnishing
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Cashews- 7 to 8
  • Cumin seed – 1 tsp
  • Coriander seed- 2 tsp
  • Green chilli-1
  • Clove-2
  • Cardamom-2
  • Star anise-1
  • Cream for garnishing
  • Oil- 2 spoon

Instruction:

  1. In a pan or kadai heat 1 tbsp oil.
  2. Add 1tsp cumin seeds and 2tsp coriander seeds.
  3. Stir and saute till the cumin seeds change color and splutter.
  4. Now add Clove, ginger, cardamom.
  5. Now add 1.5 cups chopped onions.
  6. Stir very well and saute them on a low to medium flame.
  7. 1 tsp chopped green chilies and 10 to 12 cashews (chopped).Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Turn off the heat let it cool.
  9. Now grind it make a fine paste.
  10. In a same kadai add 1 spoon oil, add grind paste. Stir very well.
  11. In a low flame sauté the mixture for 6-7 minutes then add 1 cup water and 1 spoon kasuri methi.
  12. Add salt and sugar according to taste. Add star anise.
  13. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes in a medium heat.
  14. Now add chopped paneer cubes. Cover the lid for 2 minutes.
  15. Turn off the heat garnish with coriander leaves and cream.
  16. Serve with Roti/Rice.
