Cherry season is almost upon us! I like to take advantage of the season by getting cherries into every meal when I can. This power packed cherries full of antioxidants fiber and calcium help you boast your recovery after exercise and much more…Now don’t you think adding this ruby red fruit is worth adding to our diet?!
Mixing cherry sauce with greek yogurt,the end result is melt in your mouth goodness.
Trust me this protein packed food is my post workout meal, my baby’s snacks and my husband’s dessert. Add granola or muesli make a easy breakfast or Choose yours!
- Ingredients:
- Cherry Sauce
- Plain Yogurt-2 cups
To make greek yogurt :Pour the plain yogurt in to cheese cloth like a photo. Hang it for 2-3 hrs you will get greek yogurt. (or to strain, line a mesh sieve with cheesecloth )
How to make Cherry Yogurt:
In a jar make a layers . If the yogurt is too thick you can add water or milk to make a consistency.
First layer- plain yogurt
Second layer- Cherry sauce
Third layer- again plain yogurt….
Keep it in a fridge to set for 2-3 hrs. Serve Chilled!
